She/her/hers
My Approach
My therapeutic style is both gentle and direct. I integrate evidence-based practices with a strengths-based approach, honoring your inherent wisdom while seeking to understand the intersectional experiences that shape your unique journey. Bringing collaboration and compassion into our sessions, I help you explore the thoughts and feelings that are keeping you stuck in cycles that aren’t serving you. For those who are working through trauma, I guide you in trauma re-processing so that you have a safe space to explore your trauma memory while building a more grounded perspective of your trauma.
Our sessions are designed to help you experience your emotions without becoming overwhelmed, dysregulated, detached, or frozen. Our aim is not to solve or fix the challenging emotions, but rather to learn how to care for yourself and your relationships through difficulties and navigate them with more ease. We also talk about how to align your behaviors with your values, strengthen your relationships through loving and assertive communication, and face life’s challenges with openness. This is your opportunity to embrace your whole self, and say “yes” to life!
Education and Certifications
Master of Social Welfare - University of California Los Angeles
While earning my bachelor's degree in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Barnard College, I became more acutely aware of the systemic stressors that affect our communities. Taking a systems-based approach to mental health, I pursued my Master's in Social Work and I began to integrate my passions for birth work, queer liberation, and trauma healing into my studies and practices. As an LCSW, I hold space for the whole person, acknowledging the challenges of navigating today's systems and climates.

Specialties
Perinatal Mental Health
With extensive training and experience working with clients who are trying to conceive, pregnant, postpartum, or going through pregnancy loss, I have a deep understanding of the many factors that affect mental health along the journey. From dealing with the financial, legal, and medical stressors, to all the changes happening in your body, your relationships, and your identity, you are likely going through one of the biggest (if not the biggest) changes in your life. You deserve care that sees the full picture, and guides you toward the transformative parts of this incredible journey.
LGBTQIA+ Issues
As a queer cis-gendered woman, I feel a deep personal connection to my LGBTQIA+ community. Working with individuals and couples across the queer and gender expansive spectrums, I have a broad understanding of the challenges you face while exploring issues around your identity, relationships, transitions, and processing the current social and political climate. For trans and queer folks growing your families, it can feel like your experience is not always understood or accounted for in fertility and parenting spaces. Our sessions create an open, nonjudgmental space for you to process the many complex emotions you may be experiencing, such as excitement and grief, fear and hope, love and isolation. The LGBTQIA+ community is rich with resilience, joy, and chosen family; you deserve to be seen in your wholeness.
