Healing in community is a powerful tool for releasing shame and connecting with yourself as you build connection with others. I facilitate therapy groups for people with shared identities, life stages, or experiences, so that you can share with others who relate to your story. Therapy groups are closed groups (same group members every session), so that you build meaningful and trusting bonds.
I will guide the therapy sessions to promote self-reflection, insight building, and self-discovery. You will learn how to build acceptance around the difficulties that you are facing, learning how to care for yourself as you ride the ups and downs, so you can stop battling against your own thoughts and feelings. I will encourage the group to explore social stressors that cause emotional pain, helping you disentangle yourself from harmful messages that don’t serve you or your family. Using the group dynamic, I facilitate a deeper understanding into your emotional and cognitive responses, and teach strategies for slowing down with compassion and ease.
