Going through a stormy season in your relationship can feel like you and your loved one are both lost at sea, unable to find each other. Relationship therapy is about slowing down and finding your ways back to one another. My guidance will help you to identify the patterns that your relationship gets stuck in. I’ll help you discover new patterns of reaching toward each other and moving in sync, building the trust and safety to co-captain the ship.
In sessions, I work to provide an open, safe space where you and your loved one can explore your fears and heartaches in the relationship dynamic. I will gently guide you both in reaching underneath the content of your conflicts and accessing the emotional tender spots that require care. I’ll work with you both to share these tender spots with each other and learn how to respond to each other’s challenging emotions.
The sessions are designed to cultivate compassion for yourselves and each other, build insight into your relationship fears and protective strategies, and find safety in each other.
